Depart Entebbe early for a scenic drive north to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary (175 km / 3 hrs) for a 2-hour guided walking safari with white rhinos in the wild, followed by lunch in Masindi and a continued drive (135 km / 2.5–3 hrs) into Murchison Falls National Park, where you’ll check in and enjoy a 1.5-hour night game drive in search of nocturnal animals like hyenas and leopards.

Take a 4-hour sunrise game drive across the Kasenyi Plains, excellent for spotting lions hunting Uganda kobs and herds of elephants and buffalo, then relax after lunch before enjoying a 2-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, a natural waterway connecting Lakes Edward and George and famed for its dense hippo and crocodile populations as well as water birds like pelicans and saddle-billed storks.

Head south through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth for a 2-hour game drive in search of the rare tree-climbing lions, then continue into the mist-covered hills of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (230 km / 5.5–6 hrs total) where you’ll arrive by late afternoon for an overnight in this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Begin the day with a full gorilla trekking experience (total time 4–6 hrs.) starting with a ranger briefing and a hike into the rainforest to spend 1 magical hour face-to-face with a mountain gorilla family, followed in the afternoon by a 1.5-hour cultural encounter with the local Batwa or Bakiga communities, learning traditional skills, dance, and forest life.
